Michiel Beenen "Viper"
Management - Managing Director
Michiel Beenen is the Managing Director of InterWave. Internet entrepreneur and online gaming enthusiast, Michiel started the Steam Friends community through a combination of his passion for bringing friends together online to game, and his support of the remarkable experience users get from source engine products. Michiel has worked on far too many online projects to list in this bio, but is a long time active member of the games development community. His time in the trenches of gaming, along with a keen business mind, makes him one of the driving forces of InterWave.

Andrew Boetsma "Tertles"
Department Leads - Lead Animator
Having graduated from the Art Institute of Pittsburgh in 07, Andrew took on a number of corporate gigs as a freelance animator, as well as general 3D artist. After working his way into a position at the Black Mesa mod development team, Andrew was quickly scouted for work when InterWave was in the middle of its first prototype product. As a dedicated and talented individual, Andy looks after all things motion in InterWave products.

Russ Briggeman Jr. "Igneus_Glacies"
Staff and Freelancers - Animation Artist
Russ attended the same college as Andrew Boetsma, after some more theatrical study of the anthropometric side of animation through the Art Institute's drama organisation, he joined Andrew at Black Mesa to work on animations ranging from belly crawling monsters through to cinematic human sequences. Having been with InterWave since our pre-production period, Russ has dabbled in all areas of animation but continues to excel in character movement.

Alan de Klein "Adek"
Management - Finance Director
Alan's passion is seeking and developing new opportunities. From technology and business to finance and gaming, Alan is always looking to expand his horizons with new projects and goals. His key ability is drive: he will set off to accomplish a goal, and he'll only stop pushing for it once it's been completed satisfactorily, and it's allowed him to enjoy the pleasure of a successfully launched project, where others had given up.

Olly Ginger
Management - Senior Programmer
After setting up several community projects like SourceBans in 2006, Olly wanted to move on to bigger projects and as one of our senior developers he is responsible for the main codebase of our upcoming games. Olly is known as a hard worker and loves to make the best out of everything.

Dennis Griesheimer
Staff and Freelancers - Environment Artist
Dennis joined us early on in 2010, following his departure from PlayLogic. Another jack of all trades, Dennis is a fantastically competent and well-paced artist that performs above par with both 2D and 3D assets. Spoken highly of by his ex-colleagues from Guerrilla Games, the guy is a loud and proud joker that likes to wake up a quiet room. Dennis joins the team as the 4th Dutch national in the Family.

Che Hamilton
Staff and Freelancers - Level Designer
Che Hamilton is a veteran of both the professional and amateur games development community. Having been working on since the late 90's, his career slapped him in the face with the birth of Valve's Half-Life, and subsequent titles Counter-Strike and Day of Defeat. Che brings a significant amount of experience to the team, and, as a level designer, his careful consideration and planning make for some kick ass levels.
|
Douglas Hamilton "Skybex"
Staff and Freelancers - Level Designer
Douglas joined us in late 2009 as a level designer and whilst he continues to perform this role he has exposed a number of additional talents that have been put to great use, not least of which includes an exemplary skill creating 3D assets. His sense of humour, combined appropriately with a professional work ethic make him a pleasure to work with.
|
Stuart Kim
Staff and Freelancers - Concept Artist
Stuart is the eyes of Interwave. His vision and passion for detail drive our modellers to higher standards, if only to match his meticulous research and exceptional realization skills. He is responsible for all those absurdly sexy concept shorts of machines of death and destruction on our website.
|
Martin Konecny
Staff and Freelancers - Environment Artist
Martin is a seasoned professional freelancing artist, who joined InterWave in late 2009 having worked on a plethora of AAA titles, including Mass Effect, Condemned 2, Fallout 3 and Oblivion to name just a few. Martin is exceptionally talented when it comes to all things vehicles, but has a strong passion for organic sculpture, from humanoids to creepy beasts (not that he has anything in common with either).
|
Brecht Lecluyse
Staff and Freelancers - Environment Artist
Having been with us right from the very beginning, Brecht worked as both a level designer and environment artist on InterWave's prototype products in 2008. Studying engineering in his home country, like all Belgians, Brecht enjoys a large pint of bitter, lots of chocolate, waffles, and futuristic assault rifles of all flavours.

Ben Palmer
Management - Executive Producer / Game Director
Ben is the Game Director for InterWave Studios, and his job is, in a nut shell, to ensure that anything and everything InterWave spends time on has a positively effect on the company and its community. Ben manages our projects in development overseeing all departments. His roots lay deep within level design and environment art, and he was one of the main architects of Stargate: The Last Stand, and Nuclear Dawn. Ben is best known for his dedication to InterWave, and the uncanny speed at which he responds to any query.

Jonatan Pöljö
Staff and Freelancers - Environment Artist
After several years at both Synergenix / Blaze Studios and Grin Software, Jonatan joined InterWave toward the end of 2009 following the unfortunate closure of Grin. At his heart he is a very talented and passionate artist, and so it certainly did not take long for him to become part of the family. As a Swedish man, he can of course not help but aspire to be as great as international Shpoople megastar Fjorg Vanderflorgen.
|
Tom Poon "Yozora"
Staff and Freelancers - Environment Artist
Tom is a dedicated and hard working all-around artist that impresses with both hard surface and organic work. His drive and commitment to working and re-working an asset until perfect for purpose is admirable, and the speed at which he drafts through his workload has fire safety inspectors advising us to install additional flame retardants at and around his desk.
|
Igor Raffaele "Silverfell"
Management - Operations Director
With an extensive background in wasting entire years of his life playing games and then talking about them, Igor brings a smidgeon of industry experience, and a whole lot of hard core old school gaming attitude. If your levels suddenly go 8 bit, you know who to thank. Or blame.
|
Benjamin Salmi "Np|Solid"
Staff and Freelancers - Concept Artist
Ben Salmi is a talented pen-to-paper artist that came to InterWave from Stockholm in the summer of 2009. His raw artistic talent goes from hand to media in no time - unfortunately, our scientists are still trying to work out kinks that cause a bottleneck in his brain. The Salmi operates in two modes to date: the first results in thousands of designs in all shape and variety that clog up our infrastructure for days on end, and the other results in a set of schematics that John Herschel himself would be proud of. Unfortunately, communicating with the Salmi in mode 1 results in an unstoppable tidal wave of ideas, and in mode 2... we just won't risk it.
|
Matthias Schmidt "Steppenwolf"
Staff and Freelancers - Level Designer
As Lead Level Designer for the Call of Duty modification "German Front", as well as some tremendously well respected level design work on the Source-based Insurgency mod, Matthias took up a role at Grin's Stockholm studio and participated in the development of their Bionic Commando and Terminator series of products. Matthias takes his work very seriously, and very personally, believing in producing at only the best of his abilities at all times - and this, combined with his passion for quality gaming makes him one hell of a guy to work with.
|
Joe Swan
Staff and Freelancers - Character Artist
Having spent a year "finding himself" following his graduation, Joe joined up with InterWave studios as a simple environment artist for our prototype projects. Having made a huge impact in his first sitting, he took lead of our character art, and still today remains modest about his inner combination of enthusiasm and raw talent that leaves a warm fuzzy feeling after meetings.
|
Alan van Ryzin
Staff and Freelancers - 3D Artist
We accidently stumbled upon Alan's portfolio when looking for a special kind of art-enhancing gloop... Which we have still to this day not pinned down. Alan's incredible eye for detail and plethora of both 2D and 3D skills compliment a great creative mind, realizing concepts and bringing them to life time after time. In short, the Van Ryzin is a secret weapon, a true one man army.
|
Jeroen van Werkhoven "Xanthi"
Management - Lead Level Designer
Prior to joining InterWave, Jeroen has been working as one of the lead level designers for Insurgency (a well known HL2 mod). Jeroen is now responsible for the new levels being setup for our upcoming game projects and is leading the level design department. He is a hard worker and is always in for some 'music' or 'gaming' fun with Michiel.
|
Michael Vondras "Mission"
Department Leads - Lead Audio Artist
Having worked as an audio technician and general sound systems engineer for a plethora of big names, Mike joined InterWave back in 2008 to assist us in our efforts to develop the Stargate game prototype. He has since been responsible for all the effects and action audio that really brings core elements of our products to life.
|
Travis Wright
Staff and Freelancers - Concept Artist
Travis has been with Interwave from the start, lending his excellent talents to the realization of the often maddeningly vague concept descriptions we provide him with. Respect, to both the resilience and dedication.
