InterWave

InterWave Studios is currently looking for a 3D Environment/Prop Artist to work on our next gen PC/Console game using the Source engine. If you've always dreamed of a career in game development, we'll show you just how difficult and gruelling the work really is, in exchange for inordinate amounts of your private life, which will be held hostage, as part of our standard contract.

Our current project sports several salaried positions from September 2009 onwards, but we're looking for 3D wizards who can't wait, and want to join in the fun now.

Our ideal candidate is as follows:

  • Strong knowledge of 3D Studio Max 9/2008 with a strong portfolio and a passion for games.
  • Good Knowledge of unwrapping in your chosen 3D application, as well as Adobe Photoshop CS2/CS3.
  • Your portfolio will show work samples of textured models that are gritty and realistic - as well as sensible, game ready poly counts.
  • Knowledge of Valve's Source™ engine and it's compile tools, as well as sketching and basic concept skills are both a bonus.

Above all, we want our candidates to be enthusiastic about working in a team, under pressure, with a burning passion for games and graphically stunning content. The position can be occupied remotely provided that excellent communication is maintained.

InterWave Studios is proud to announce the fact that we have started to work on our first commercial project. Our team is working on producing Nuclear Dawn in the glory that a lot of you have all secretly wished for deep down inside for all of this time. We are active with our community, and will be keeping you, the community, involved through every step of the way, with news updates and forum interaction throughout our experience working on the product.

We have to be clear that InterWave is not developing this product out of commercial greed - we are developing it out of passion and commitment to gaming, in the knowledge that we can create something spectacular for a whole new community to be born from.

InterWave

The site and community forums have been light on the updates recently, and for that we apologize. It was, however, all for the good cause of bringing you all more excellent gaming.

We have been working hard on the first concept screens and ingame mechanics of InterWave Studios’ first commercial game, and it’s almost ready for the limelight... but not quite.

Keep watching this space in the coming weeks for the first screenshots and concept art of InterWave’s next opus... the Dawn is rising!
